Mother of All Battles

Interesting article by Digby over at Hullabaloo (a writer well worth a few minutes a day to read).

The biggest political battle shaping up in the next four months is Social Security, Medicare, and the federal debt ceiling. Republicans are going to do their best to pry cuts to both programs out of Democrats in return for raising the ceiling, and Democrats in Congress - and the White House -seem to be buying into the misguided notion that those programs have to be cut. Now is the time for all Democrats to get active!
